Total Body Workout Q & A

Why do you call it a total body workout?
It can also be called a full body workout because you train all the major muscle groups in each workout. Instead of just working your abs or your upper body or your lower body, you hit each one of those areas in every class. Certain exercises will work more than one major muscle group at a time which burns a lot of calories because you're exerting yourself that much more.

What are the pros and cons of full body workouts?
The total body workout class is great for people who are just getting started because you see quick improvement everywhere. As you build muscle, your metabolism increases, making it easier to attain and maintain a healthy weight. Total body workouts are also perfect for busy people because you accomplish a lot in a short period of time. On the other hand, you shouldn't do these workouts every day. Your body needs rest and the recovery periods will actually make you stronger.

What's in it for me?
When you attend a total body workout class three times a week, you will increase your overall body strength. If you are relatively new to strength training, you can make quick gains because you are regularly working all of your muscles. In addition, full body workouts are great for losing weight because you use so many muscles and get really get your heart rate up.
